Job summary

Bombardier in Wichita is seeking an Advisor Technical Learning to drive learning programs for manufacturing teams in aircraft assembly. You will assess skills, propose learning activities, coach using multiple processes and deliver training interventions.

You will work in a unionized environment, bring a technical degree or aircraft certifications, and demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving and self-direction while collaborating with teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on aircraft assembly experience in manufacturing.
• 0–2 years of experience with learning activities (coaching/training).
• Technical degree or aircraft certifications/licenses.
• Experience in a unionized environment.
• Proficient with MS Office or similar software.
• Ability to build relationships and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Rules.
• Deliver technical skills assessments and propose learning activities.
• Provide technical coaching using multiple processes.
• Execute specific learning interventions (coaching, classroom training).
• Participate in problem solving discussions on human performance issues.
• Assist Technical Learning Agents with key tasks as needed.

How to thrive in this role?

• You typically have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting related to aircraft assembly in a hands-on technical role
• You typically have a minimum of 0 -2 years of experience involved with learning activities (i.e., coaching and / or technical training)
• You have a technical degree and /or aircraft related certifications and licenses and / or equivalent experience in coaching / facilitator training
• You have a high level of technical competency and credibility
• You have experience working in a unionized environment
• You have excellent relational competencies, with capacity to listen and communicate well (written and spoken)
• You have the ability to build solid relationships based on mutual trust
• You have the ability to influence without authority and develop results oriented action plans
• You are a team player
• You have experience in Lean and / or continuous improvement concepts
• You are motivated and self-directed with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• You have working knowledge of MS Office Suite or other software databases
