Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an Engineer Methods Information Systems professional in Wichita at Learjet Inc. You will join a team delivering integrated software solutions for aerospace manufacturing, focusing on data modeling, system enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires extensive experience in software development and industrial engineering, with a strong command of Oracle APEX, Java, C++, and Dreamweaver.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in software development, programming, and database implementation.
• 5+ years experience in Industrial Engineering.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles and practices.
• Proficient with Oracle APEX, Java, C++, and Dreamweaver.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and implements areas for improvement through automation and process improvements.
• Develops program specifications and logic flow charts for software documentation.
• Designs enhancements to current systems and facilitates installation and integration of new systems.
• Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Organizes and presents formal technical reviews.
• Writes and edits Methods documents to include new software applications, processes, and procedures.
• Acts as systems focal.
• Leads teams through data modeling.
• Develops complex database applications used across the Learjet site by multiple business units.
• Develops technical solutions requiring ingenuity and creativity.
• Keeps customers and management informed of progress and issues.

How to thrive in this role?

• Typically 8+ years’ experience in software development, programming, database implementation
• Typically 5+ years experience in Industrial Engineering
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles and practices
• Thorough knowledge of Oracle APEX, Java, C++, Dreamweaver (or equivalent)
• Thorough knowledge of Engineering technical principles, theories and concepts
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office and MS Project
• Thorough communication skills
