Job description

The Advisor - Reliability & Maintenance is responsible for the analysis and improvement of maintenance processes and procedures. The Advisor reports to the Manager - Reliability and Maintenance to execute quality improvement plans.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Analyzes reliability and maintenance processes to determine effectiveness.

Develops, documents, and maintains the maintenance strategies for the Company fleet.

Provides quality improvement recommendations to the maintenance group.

Develops and reviews technical bulletins, maintenance alerts, and technical support notices.

Manages technical aspects of global maintenance and inspection contracts and agreements.

Documents and reports maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs) for both offshore and onshore users.

Provides recommendations and support for the department budgeting process.

Provides fleetwide support for Maintenance Alert Execution.

Serves on various committees aimed at developing the company’s best practices for maintaining our equipment and eliminating downtime.

Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor’s degree (required), or equivalent related technical work experience.

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a similar role and market.

Skills & Experience

Ability to gather and analyze/synthesize data, confirming its accuracy and adequacy as an integral part of the collective analysis/synthesis process.

  • Demonstrated effective leadership and influencing skills and practices.
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting, purchasing, and management systems.
  • Physically capable of being transported to an offshore rig by boat or helicopter.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level (use financial and logical functions; work with multiple worksheets and workbooks; edit and use macros; import and export information).

Working knowledge of document control systems and databases.
