Location: Madison, WI

Job Id:102

# of Openings:1

ADVISOR - ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Madison or Milwaukee, WI. / Hybrid
FarWell Project Advisors, LLC has openings for Organizational Change Managers to join our team.

We are ideally looking for "M-Shaped” Advisors.

At FarWell, we seek M-shaped Advisors—professionals who bring deep expertise in multiple areas along with the ability to connect and collaborate across disciplines.

The vertical bars of the "M" represent key technical competencies—skills and expertise that allow advisors to excel in disciplines such as Change Management, Project Management, Process Optimization, or Agile.

The horizontal connections illustrate the ability to leverage this expertise holistically across disciplines, collaborate across teams, and adapt to complex client needs. This marks a shift from the traditional T-shaped model, where individuals focused on depth in one area and breadth across others.

At this time, we need people who have a depth of knowledge within...

Organizational Change Management. Having deep understanding of the processes, tools and techniques needed to help manage the people side of change. For this role, we need you to have experience managing an Organizational Change Initiative or having played a key role on a team managing an Organizational Change Initiative

It would also be great if you have a breadth of experience across…

Project Management. Having experience formally and independently managing the scope, budget and schedule of a project is ideal. Additional experience with Stakeholder, Communication and Risk Management Plans is also helpful.

Continuous Improvement. Having some awareness of Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or PDCA would make you a well-rounded advisor. Experience or certifications would be even better.

  • Communicates Effectively: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications conveying a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Customer Focus: Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
  • Self-Development: Actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels.
  • Plans and Aligns: Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Directs Work: Providing direction, delegating, and removing obstacles to get work done.
  • Drive Results: Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.
  • Balances Stakeholders: Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Manages Complexity: Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Proficient knowledge in modern office productivity, communication, and collaboration toolsets.
  • Interpersonal Savvy: Relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people.
  • Action Oriented: Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Situational Adaptability: Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
  • Optimizes Work Processes: Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Required Education & Experience:

Bachelors or Masters in any field or 3-5+ years of applicable experience.

  • Many of our clients do support remote work. However, we are seeing a growing preference for hybrid schedules, with some clients requesting occasional on-site collaboration. Flexibility varies by engagement, and we work closely with our advisors and clients to find arrangements that meet everyone’s needs.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Work is generally performed in an office environment and routinely requires employees to perform the following while carrying out the essential functions of this job:

  • Use standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer/photocopier, etc.)
  • Sit for long periods of time
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Travel occasionally to client sites and other locations for events, meetings, etc.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.

Note: This job description describes the general nature and scope of responsibilities for this position. Please note other duties and responsibilities may be assigned or removed at any time.

Who We Are

We are Change Navigators, Project Leaders, Process Experts and Continuous Improvement Champions. At our core, we are a team of humble, collaborative advisors who love solving problems and accomplishing ambitious goals.

Employee Experience (EX) is the foundation of our organization. Our EX mission is to grow an organizational culture fostering Community, Career and Cause. When this happens, work is meaningful, we achieve higher levels of fulfillment, and as a result, we create incredible experiences for our clients. To take care of our clients, we put our team members first.

Our Core Competencies

Ensure Accountability. Taking responsibility and owning up to commitments. Being accountable for your actions and the actions of those you lead. On critical projects, it instills confidence in others when they know you have a vested interest in the positive outcome everyone is striving towards.

Collaborate. We openly and willingly share our ideas and knowledge. We work together, with our teammates and customers, to navigate complex business changes.

Value Differences. Creating a work environment where people can, and want, to do their best. As the workforce has become increasingly global, it has also become more diverse. The typical definition of diversity - race, ethnicity, culture – now includes perspectives, styles and thought. It opens the door to new ways of thinking and new opportunities for success.

Have Self-Awareness. Having the ability to clearly assess your own capabilities provides a foundation upon which to grow, develop and take on new challenges. Deploying yourself within life and work is greatly enhanced by really knowing your strengths, limitations, and opportunities for growth. This self‑awareness allows us to bring our ‘best‑selves’ to work.

Instill Trust. Trust lies at the heart of effective relationships. Whether inside or outside the workplace, trust generates feelings of goodwill. Trust enables successful and more productive outcomes. When there’s trust, things run more smoothly.

We use our Core Competencies to deliver results by being…

Solution Focused.

[Collaborate, Ensure Accountability] Sifting through the various complexities that naturally occur within project teams and working with team members to deliver the best solution for a given opportunity.

Flexible.

[Self‑Awareness, Instill Trust] Adapting to different roles and responsibilities while continuously adopting new skills. This flexibility results in successful solutions and translates into professional growth.

Emotionally Intelligent.

[Self‑Awareness, Value Differences] Controlling, identifying, and managing your emotions, as well as the emotions of others, while handling sensitive situations with respect and empathy.
