Oriental Bank is seeking an Advisor, Commercial Credit to join our Credit Risk team and play a key role in evaluating, monitoring, and managing our commercial loan portfolio. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in commercial credit or related banking function.
• Experience supporting commercial banking relationships preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite commercial credit requests for new and existing clients.
• Prepare credit memorandums and recommendations supported by sound financial analysis.
• Conduct annual credit reviews and ongoing assessments of borrower performance and risk ratings.
• Review financial statements, spread financial information, and assess repayment capacity.
• Monitor loan covenant compliance and identify emerging credit risks.
• Participate in Credit Committee meetings and present recommendations on credit facilities.
• Partner with Commercial Banking teams to maintain a high-quality loan portfolio.
• Proactively identify trends, concerns, and opportunities to mitigate portfolio risk.
• Monitor loan maturities and support timely renewals and portfolio maintenance.
• Perform customer visits and site inspections as part of the credit evaluation process.

What We’re Looking For

• Education Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial credit, credit analysis, lending, or a related banking function.
• Experience supporting commercial, corporate, or institutional banking relationships is preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial banking products and financial statement analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to assess credit risk and make sound underwriting recommendations.
