Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking Lake Wauburg Challenge Course Facilitators to join an energetic team and help move students toward lifelong wellbeing. You will lead low and high rope activities and support on/off-site programs, starting Spring 2027.

As a part-time OPS student employee, you will develop professional relationships, uphold Cornerstones of RecSports Service, and ensure safety and high-quality customer service in a motivating environment on campus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work ~30 feet in the air.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Availability to work 5–12 hours per week during operating hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service.
• Facilitate activities to promote teamwork, development, and wellness.
• Participate in Low and High Course training including high ropes rescues.
• Provide pre-course safety briefings.
• Assist with set up, take down, opening, closing, and other duties.
• Lead and speak to large groups with professional conduct.
• Supervise participants throughout the course.
• Manage risk and promote well-being of participants and staff.
• Support Lake Wauburg events and facility reservations.
• Administer First Aid/CPR/AED in emergencies.
• Inspect facilities/equipment and report unsafe conditions.
