Job summary

Mainland Adventure Park is seeking an Operations Manager for a seasonal role. You will strategically organize and supervise day-to-day operations across attractions such as rock wall, high ropes course, zip line, go karts and arcade, while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards.

The role demands strong leadership, sales and supervisory skills, with the ability to plan and manage budgets, staffing and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (minimum age).
• Excellent leadership, sales, and supervisor management skills. Must be innovative and self-motivated.
• Excellent organization and communication skills and ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy, sometimes stressful times.
• Must maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must be in good physical condition and have no neck, back or shoulder injuries.
• Must be able to work most weekends and holidays.
• Willing to work in all weather conditions.
• Communicate effectively and display excellent customer service skills.

PROFIT MANAGEMENT

• Meets or exceeds budgeted profit margin for the Adventure Park.
• Accurately forecasts revenues/expenses.
• Prepares annual budget that accurately reflects the Adventure Park business plan.
• Anticipates revenue/cost problems and manages the timing of discretionary expenditures.
• Analyzes financial and operating information on an ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements and operating costs.
• Translates business plans into action and manages those actions toward the achievement of revenue and cost objectives

SAFETY AND SECURITY MANAGEMENT

• Knows local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the Adventure Park.
• Recognizes and corrects potential safety hazards such as broken equipment, fire hazards, etc.
• Recognizes and corrects potential security problems such as locking doors/gates after hours, etc.
• Understands and follows policies and procedures for the Adventure Park key control system and ensures others are trained in the same.
• Uses ongoing safety training to minimize worker’s compensation claims.
