Advant Solutions is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and execute the company’s environmental, health, safety, and regulatory programs across nationwide manufacturing and distribution facilities. The role partners with Operations, HR, and executives to drive a culture of safety excellence and risk reduction.

The EHS Manager will oversee compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and local regulations; manage permits, training, audits, and emergency planning; and

  • Experience with nationwide operations and multiple regulatory jurisdictions.

  • Develop and manage EHS budgets and training programs.

Title: Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

Department: Operations

Pay Status: Exempt

Reports To: Director of Operations

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading and executing the company's environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance programs across the manufacturing facility and multiple distribution facilities that are nationwide. This role develops strategic initiatives that protect employees, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and drive a culture of safety excellence throughout the organization. The EHS Manager partners closely with Operations, Human Resources and Executive Leadership to reduce risk, improve workplace safety performance, and support operational excellence across all locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Develop and implement company-wide EHS programs, policies, standards, and procedures across manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.
  • Establish and maintain a proactive safety culture focused on employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to site management teams regarding EHS compliance and best practices.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on environmental, health, and safety matters for all company locations.
  • Oversee credit department and ensure responsibilities are met.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to leadership and site management.
  • Manage environmental permits, reporting requirements, inspections, and regulatory agency interactions.
  • Develop and maintain company-wide compliance programs, including hazardous waste management, air emissions, stormwater, chemical management, and transportation safety.
  • Conduct and oversee facility safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Lead investigations of workplace injuries, illnesses, property damage, environmental incidents, and near misses.
  • Utilize root cause analysis methodologies to identify trends and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and develop action plans to improve results.
  • Ensure effective safety programs for manufacturing equipment, machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, electrical safety, ergonomics, and contractor safety.
  • Oversee warehouse and distribution center safety programs including forklift operations, material handling, dock safety, and fleet-related activities.
  • Evaluate operational processes and recommend engineering or administrative controls to mitigate risk.
  • Develop and implement company-wide EHS training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with required employee certifications and safety training requirements.
  • Coach managers and supervisors on EHS responsibilities and leadership expectations.
  • Facilitate safety committees and employee engagement initiatives across all locations.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans for all facilities.
  • Coordinate emergency drills, crisis response activities, and incident management procedures.
  • Support business continuity planning and disaster preparedness initiatives.
  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs and related compliance documentation.
  • Prepare and present EHS performance reports, KPIs, and trend analyses to senior leadership.
  • Establish and track leading and lagging indicators to measure program effectiveness.
  • Manage EHS budgets and support capital improvement projects related to safety and environmental compliance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have strong computer and analytical skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Experience with behavior-based safety programs and safety management systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and training skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management abilities.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with leaders and employees at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EHS management systems, and data analytics tools.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or related field preferred.
  • Preferred Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), OSHA 30-Hour Certification,
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, distribution or logistics.
  • Multisite EHS management experience required.
  • Experience supporting nationwide operations and multiple regulatory jurisdictions.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing EHS programs across diverse operational environments.
