Northeastern Illinois University is seeking a Deputy Director to provide strategic operational leadership for Advancement Services within the NEIU Foundation. You will oversee Foundation financial operations, donor and alumni data systems, board relations, regulatory compliance, and reporting while guiding change management for new or upgraded database platforms.

Qualifications

• Eleven years of progressively responsible management experience in a private or governmental organization.
• Eight years in the area of designated specialization required by the position and three years supervising staff.
• Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the above three years non-specialized experience requirement.
• Master’s degree may be substituted for one year specialized work experience.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Foundation liaison to Board of Directors and Investment Committee; prepare complex financial data and compliance briefings.
• Oversee Foundation assets across cash, endowment, property and planned giving; monitor financial health with the Foundation Treasurer.
• Direct operations, policy development, and data integrity for Raiser's Edge NXT and Financial Edge NXT; plan migrations as needed.
• Develop transparent reporting on policies and procedures; train Advancement staff on time-keeping and compliance.
• Oversee web pages, online communications, and third-party fundraising platform integrations.
• Coordinate annual reporting obligations for federal grants and compliance with IRS regulations.
• Supervise staff; hire, train, coach, and evaluate Advancement Services personnel.
• Prepare and publish donor-facing communications and impact reports; liaise with Marketing for alignment.
