Job summary

The University of Washington in Seattle is seeking an Advancement Relations Officer to support engagement, stewardship and fundraising for the Arts Division. This full-time role plans events, crafts stewardship communications and coordinates with colleagues across advancement and academic units to strengthen donor engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in administrative support, development, advancement, fundraising, alumni relations, communications or related field.
• Experience with project management or program administration in nonprofit or higher education environments.
• Experience planning, coordinating and executing events or engagement activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of donor relations, stewardship, fundraising, advancement or alumni relations practices.
• Familiarity with arts organizations or arts education contexts.
• Experience using CRM, database, or information management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead division-wide events from planning to execution, engaging donors, alumni and community partners.
• Develop donor-focused materials and stewardship communications; highlight impact of gifts.
• Coordinate with academic units and advancement colleagues to ensure proper use of funds and reporting.
• Manage donations, in-kind gifts, and donor records; ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications on donor-facing messaging and engagement strategies.
• Support broader College advancement priorities through coordinated outreach.
