Job summary

Elmhurst University is seeking an Advancement Operations Manager to partner with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. You will oversee daily operations, manage budgets, coordinate projects, and support fundraising, donor relations, alumni engagement, marketing, events, and advancement services.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to handle confidential information, and experience with cross‑functional coordination with campus stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three to five years of progressively responsible administrative or advancement-related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior administrators, trustees, donors, alumni, faculty, staff, and external partners.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• Experience managing budgets and preparing reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of the Office of Institutional Advancement, ensuring efficient workflows and timely completion of priorities.
• Greet visitors and respond to inquiries, providing backup support for Alumni Relations communications.
• Coordinate and monitor divisional projects, timelines, and deliverables involving fundraising and donor relations.
• Develop reports, presentations, meeting materials, and documentation for planning and reporting.
• Maintain budgets and process payments and invoices.
