Job summary

The Whitney Museum of American Art is seeking an Advancement: Corporate Partnerships and Special Events Intern for the Spring 2027 semester. The role includes supporting the Corporate Membership program, doing prospect research, and assisting with events both on-site and in coordination with fundraising efforts.

The internship offers a stipend of $3,000 for the term January 18 to April 26, 2027, with a part-time schedule (16–21 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
• Research skills
• Google forms
• Undergraduates and graduates currently enrolled in accredited academic year programs are eligible
• Completed a minimum of one year’s worth of academic coursework; undergraduate freshmen are not eligible
• Interest in art and art history preferred
• Previous museum experience not required

Responsibilities

• Support the Corporate Membership program by assembling renewal and welcome packets
• Process gifts through RE
• Prospect research for Corporate Membership & Sponsorship
• Rental program inquiries and scheduling; update rental documents
• Administrative tasks (invoices, event lists, filing, payments)
• On-site help with internal, external, and fundraising events
• Additional research tasks as needed
