Job summary

Care New England Health System seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct care to clinic patients under the Program Nurse Manager. The RN will plan, implement and evaluate care using age-specific criteria and follow state practice acts and hospital policies.

Requirements include active Rhode Island RN license, BLS, and two years of acute care experience. BS degree preferred; advanced wound/ostomy certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island RN license required.
• Two years of acute care experience is required.
• BS degree preferred; advanced wound/ostomy certification encouraged.
• BLS certification required; willingness to pursue certification as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with documentation of assessments, plans and outcomes.
• Apply nursing process and age-specific care planning in collaboration with the physician and care team.
• Educate patients and families on wound care, dressings, compression therapy and disease management.
• Demonstrate safe, effective communication with patients, families, and staff; maintain accurate records.
