Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle USA in Cincinnati is seeking a Training Operator to join our confectionery manufacturing team. You will operate and monitor packaging and processing equipment, maintain product quality, and follow HACCP and safety standards.

Responsibilities include daily plant activities, shift staffing coordination, sanitation tasks, paperwork, equipment changes, and coaching teammates to meet standards. Strong Excel/Office and SAP knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 18 months of manufacturing experience preferred in food.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Teams) and SAP/SharePoint/Smartsheet.
• Able to communicate clearly and lead a team to solve problems.
• Use basic lean tools to identify and improve processes.
• Coordinate across work boundaries and with maintenance and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate start-up, shutdown, lockout, sanitation and packaging/process equipment to meet quality and cost targets.
• Maintain safety, food safety, and clear communication in daily plant activities.
• Monitor product quality, packaging quality and HACCP-related codes and procedures.
• Load/unload machines, supply materials, and handle waste and scrap as needed.
• Perform routine sanitation tasks and minor equipment changes or repairs as required.
• Provide coaching to teammates to maintain standards and train others.
