Qualifications

• 8+ years TIG welding experience with UHV welding techniques and standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, schematics and welding symbols.
• Strong safety orientation and risk-aware mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
• Capable of standing for long periods and handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled TIG welding on Ultra High Vacuum components following engineering blueprints and travelers.
• Conduct leak detection tests to validate weld integrity and product quality.
• Troubleshoot welding process challenges to minimize disruptions and scrap.
• Fabricate and repair weldments conforming to specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturability and welding protocols.
• Weld prototypes and provide feedback on weldability for new products.
