Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 2–3+ years of experience in experimental testing and data analysis.
• Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and calibrate complex instruments and diagnostic equipment.
• Rigorous approach to planning, execution, and analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis with Excel and tools like MATLAB, JMP, Tableau.
• Excellent communication and vendor/customer interfacing skills.
• Self-motivated with ownership of equipment and testing operations.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to develop design proposals using Corning products.
• Plan, develop, and execute product and system evaluation tests; create tools and test sequences.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory testing infrastructure for reliable results.
• Operate test equipment and execute in-lab or field testing programs; troubleshoot issues.
• Analyze data, verify observations, and summarize findings in reports for internal and external audiences.
