Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide advanced technical and product support for power monitoring and electrical distribution systems. The role involves troubleshooting, issue investigation, and clear communication with customers, Field Service, Engineering, and Product teams.

You will help maintain high customer satisfaction, improve response times, and supply critical product feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree (B.S.) in electrical engineering or an associate degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in technical or engineering roles.
• Knowledge of industry protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP, BACnet) and power systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical and product support to customers via remote tools, phone, email, and on-site as needed.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex hardware, firmware, and application issues to minimize downtime.
• Triage incoming support cases, prioritize issues, and ensure timely resolution or escalation.
• Interact with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, and Field Service teams as a technical liaison.
• Support investigations by reproducing issues, collecting data, and validating corrective actions.
• Coordinate RMAs and communicate with customers.
• Assist with startup and commissioning of new installations, including remote support.
• Create and review technical documentation such as troubleshooting guides and FAQs.
• Provide feedback on product performance, defects, and enhancements.
