Job summary

CNA Corporation, located at NAS Pt. Mugu, CA and Edwards AFB, CA, is hiring Associate Research Analysts to support the Advanced Technology Assessment division. The role involves research, analysis, and technical support on defense technology projects for the Navy’s FFRDC.

Analysts develop client knowledge, contribute to team efforts, and assist with business development under supervision. A final security clearance is required for some positions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or equivalent experience.
• 0+ years of experience in research and analysis (typical minimum).
• Facility with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage databases and organize information on policies, systems, problems, or procedures.
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills; basic research techniques.
• Ability to plan and organize tasks as an individual and as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, conducts research and analysis that meets CNA's quality standards on focused questions.
• Develops rudimentary knowledge of primary clients and issues.
• Contributes to team work and collaborates with colleagues to identify opportunities.
• Supports business development by assisting with background research and materials.
• Limited interaction with sponsors/clients under supervision.
• Impact largely confined to individual project work.
• Demonstrates basic, effective written and oral communication.
• Works under close supervision on focused pieces of projects.
• Exhibits a positive attitude and supports leadership as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
