Qualifikationen

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technician Program.
• At least 1 year as Surgical Technician or internship; paid internship at Keck Medicine of USC.
• Active practice as a Surgical Technician within 6 months prior to application.
• Strong organization/time management and communication skills.
• Surgical Technologist CST certification and BLS required.

Aufgaben

• Assist in triad of procedures (Head, Neck, Neuro, Spine, Ortho).
• Maintain aseptic technique and safety standards.
• Keep open communication with surgical team regarding patient status.
• Prepare operating room and set up instruments.
• Perform scrub role and pass instruments.
• Mentor students and participate in equipment evaluation.
