Job summary

Mercy is hiring an Advanced Supply Chain Technician to manage high-level supply chain software for filling, stocking, distributing, and receiving supplies and linen. You will help manage PAR inventories and ensure stock across locations, while mentoring new coworkers and serving as a liaison between supply chain and clinical leaders.

Education includes a high school diploma and Mercy Preceptor Course within 6 months; prior healthcare supply chain or similar experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mercy Preceptor Course completed within 6 months.
• Experience: Mastered Supply Chain Technician Competencies or 2 years healthcare or large-scale supply chain experience.

Advanced Supply Chain Technician will utilize and demonstrate at an advanced level supply chain software systems to fill, order, stock, distribute, and receive supplies and linen along with assisting with the management of PAR inventories. This position also ensure appropriate supplies/Linens are stocked, delivered, and inventory is adequately stocked in multiple locations. Advanced Technicians will also assist with mentoring and training new coworkers, and at times serve as a liaison in communication between supply chain and clinical leaders.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Mercy Preceptor Course within 6 months.

• Experience: Mastered Supply Chain Technician Competencies and fully functional in Supply Chain Technician role, or 2 years direct healthcare supply chain or 2 years large-scale supply chain experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: Prefer 12 months in Mercy Supply Chain Technician role.
• Certification/Registration: Preferred Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP), Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
