Qualifications

• Six months of experience demonstrating ability to perform the work or understand the work
• One year above high school including at least 6 semester hours in health care related courses such as sterile processing, nursing assistant, hospital corpsman, and operating room and surgical technician courses or related
• Experience/education combination can qualify for entry level

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare, high-level disinfect and sterilize reusable medical devices
• Assemble highly complex instrument sets for surgeries (open heart, major orthopedic, cardiovascular, craniotomy, endoscopic procedures)
• Review manufacturer guidelines and ensure proper methods and parameters for cleaning and sterilization; troubleshoot equipment when needed
