Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC seeks a Forensic Nurse Examiner to perform medical-forensic examinations in accordance with established protocols. The role includes providing pregnancy and STI prophylaxis, documenting findings, and arranging follow-up referrals for medical and psychological care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of a 40-hour IAFN or OR SATF SANE-A course.
• Oregon RN license required at hire.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.

Job description

The forensic nurse examiner provides compassionate, timely medical-forensic exams following established protocols. Responsibilities include conducting exams, administering prophylaxis for pregnancy and STIs, photographic documentation, and arranging medical and psychological follow-up referrals.
They collaborate with community partners such as advocacy agencies, law enforcement, prosecutors, and protection services for vulnerable populations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Completion of a 40-hour IAFN or OR SATF SANE-A course
• Oregon RN license upon hire
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• At least 2 years of nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-A) or Oregon Certified SANE (SANE-OR) upon hire

Key Duties:
