Job summary

Vail Resorts is seeking winter seasonal Snowmakers for 2026/27 to keep mountains pristine and buzzing with activity. Starting wage ranges from $25.25 to $30.61 per hour, with both full-time and part-time hours available to fit the season’s needs.

Join our snow team to operate snowmaking equipment, perform quality checks, and support daily operations while enjoying the mountain lifestyle. Successful candidates will be able to work outdoors, lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate in English, with

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Previous experience operating/maintaining heavy machinery; snowmaking experience preferred
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Operate all transportation vehicles as per the standard operating procedures
• Understand and teach proper snowmaking quality checks
• Assist snowmaking lead with day-to-day operations
• Understand and operate snowmaking pumps, compressors, manual and automated snowmaking guns
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and buildings as directed
• Ability to complete assigned tasks while unsupervised
• Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

Starting Wage: $25.25/hr - $30.61/hr
