CTR Group is seeking skilled shipfitters to perform multi-pass tack welding and complex assembly for ship structures. You will read drawings, lay out parts with precision, and use SMAW and oxy-fuel torches in a demanding environment, following OSHA shipbuilding standards.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to interpret weld symbols, handle rolled shells and bulkheads, and complete tasks with accuracy while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipbuilding or steel fabrication.
• Ability to read fractional dimensions with a ruler.
• Ability to lay out parts for fabrication and assembly.
• Able to pass weld qualifications on first day.

Responsabilités

• Perform multi-pass tack welding per specifications.
• Interpret structural drawings and weld symbols.
• Operate oxygen/propane torches for burning/heating.
• Use vibratory tools and air carbon arc gouging as needed.
• Assemble ship structural components per work packages.
• Maintain safety per OSHA shipbuilding regulations.
