Qualifications

• Experience performing rigging work in industrial, construction, marine, or similar settings.
• Strong understanding of rigging principles, load calculations, and safe lifting.
• Ability to read lift plans, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of rigging hardware, cranes, hoists, slings, shackles and related equipment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability for lifting, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform advanced rigging activities for lifts, moves, and positioning.
• Inspect rigging gear, hoists, and tools for safe operation.
• Determine load weights, CG, lift points, and sling configurations.
• Coordinate with operators and supervisors for clear lift communication.
• Set up, secure, and dismantle rigging systems per safety standards.
• Interpret lift plans and site requirements accurately.
• Identify hazards and apply controls following Safety procedures.
• Maintain organized work areas and proper equipment storage.
• Document inspections and activities; report safety concerns.
• Support training for less experienced team members.
