Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program, associate’s degree required, bachelor’s preferred.
• 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and databases.
• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP, with instructor and provisional statuses as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered respiratory care, including aerosolized medications, airway management, and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Perform assessments, collaborate on care plans, and educate patients and staff.
• Promote safety, accurate documentation, and evidence-based practices.
• Support invasive and non-invasive procedures and participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Mentor and precept new employees and students.
• Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with policies and standards.
