Job summary

TRA Medical Imaging in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Registered Radiology Assistant (RA/RPA) to perform various fluoroscopic and radiology procedures under the supervision of the attending Radiologist. The RA supports the team to work more effectively in the hospital and outpatient radiology settings.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred), successful completion of an ARRT accredited program, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required / Master’s Degree preferred.
• Successful completion of an ARRT accredited program.
• Knowledge of professional clinical theory, practices, and regulations to give and evaluate patient care.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and monitors fluoroscopic and other examinations within RA/RPA scope of practice.
• Places nasoenteric and oroenteric feeding tubes.
• Assists Radiologist with invasive procedures.
• Injects agents that facilitate diagnostic imaging.
• Communicates initial observations of images to a Radiologist.
• Assists in workflow of patients and determines appropriate studies.
• Works with staff to minimize radiation dose.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Performs related work as required.
