Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to perform diagnostic imaging exams in a fast-paced setting. You will work with radiologists and clinicians to ensure high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

The role requires ARRT certification and state licensure, BLS, and experience with fluoroscopy and diverse imaging exams. The position offers full-time hours with evening/night/weekend differentials and dedicated opportunities for student instruction.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) certification required or eligible for licensure in state of practice
• Active Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice
• BLS for healthcare providers
• May complete MA Competency Checklist to function as MA in clinic/InstaCare setting

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Instructs students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provides patient education, ensures comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Maintains infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and adverse reactions.
• Follows imaging protocols including coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
