Job summary

Capital District Physicians Health Plan Inc (CDPHP) is seeking a Publishing Systems Engineer to design, develop, and support electronic document generation. You will work with variable data composition, document workflows, and publishing tools across multiple systems to ensure accurate, timely communications.

Level II/III responsibilities include troubleshooting, standards development, and collaboration with stakeholders to align with business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or related field; alternative with two+ years in CS or electronic publishing.
Experience with Variable Data composition and integration tools (HP Command Center, HP Exstream, Elixir Tango, Quadient Inspire).
Strong analytical, proofreading, and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of publication layout and design.
Familiarity with SQL/Oracle/DB2.
Knowledge of XML/HTML/SGML.
Experience with Java and shell scripts or web languages.
Familiarity with Control-D, Filenet, Alfresco or similar systems.

Responsibilities

Develops code and analyzes issues for electronic publishing-related problems.
Builds and updates workflows in variable data composition systems.
Documents specifications and testing plans; participates in project discussions.
Mentors junior developers and supports on-call production duties.
