Job summary
Sacred Heart University invites Advanced Practitioners to join a pioneering Clinical Informatics training program in Hartford, CT. The two-year cohort focuses on informatics education while enabling you to practice in your chosen specialty, applying informatics tools to improve patient care.
Participants will earn a Certificate in Clinical Informatics remotely during training and collaborate on real-world projects, eventually transitioning informatics time into clinical optimization duties.
Qualifications
- Active CT Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Current certification as PA/NP.
- Federal DEA license required.
- 3+ years of experience as PA/NP.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with data analytics and Tableau.
- Masters or Doctoral degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Join one of the nation's first Clinical Informatics training programs for PAs and NPs.
- Two-year cohort-based training in Clinical Informatics.
- Spend 25% of time in informatics training; 75% in specialty practice.
- Obtain a Certificate in Clinical Informatics from Sacred Heart University via remote learning.
- Collaborate on projects reflecting real-world informatics challenges.
- Post-training, shift 25% informatics time to admin/tech optimization.
- Implement and optimize clinical information systems across facilities.
- Analyze healthcare data to improve outcomes and efficiencies.
- Serve as liaison between clinical staff and IT for usability.
