Job summary

Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join Bolton's Referral & Assessment Children's Team. You will manage a varied caseload, conduct home visits, and mentor Newly Qualified Social Workers within a fast-paced assessment service.

The role requires 3+ years as an Advanced Practitioner, strong knowledge of Child Protection and CIN, and registration with Social Work England. DBS and references are required, with the potential for flexible working.

Advanced Practitioner - Referral & Assessment

Liquid Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join Bolton's Referral & Assessment Children's Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social work professional who is passionate about safeguarding children and supporting the development of less experienced colleagues within a fast-paced assessment service.

About the Role

The successful candidate will hold a caseload within the Referral & Assessment Service while also providing mentoring and support to Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) and Social Workers within the team.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Managing a varied caseload within a busy Referral & Assessment Service
• Completing home visits across the Bolton area
• Providing mentoring and guidance to NQSWs and Social Workers
• Completing assessments, reports and court work
• Working effectively within statutory timescales and deadlines
• Managing Child Protection and Child in Need (CIN) cases

Qualification and Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A minimum of3 years' experience as an Advanced Practitioner
• Strong knowledge and experience of:
• Child Protection
• Child in Need (CIN)
• Statutory processes and deadlines within an Assessment Service
• Experience supporting and mentoring social work colleagues
• Ability to undertake duty work and home visits
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references
