Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide orthopedic surgical coverage in Buffalo, MN. This locum tenens assignment runs Apr 01, 2027 – Sep 16, 2027, with Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

shifts in a hospital setting, performing first assist in the OR for total joint replacements and general orthopedics. Expect clinic days seeing 20–25 patients daily; mornings rounds with occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Active MN license (NP or PA)
• Board certification in specialty (MN Board of Medical Practice or equivalent)
• DEA registration required
• BLS Tier 1 within 180 days; NCCPA or ANCC certification upon hire
• Minimum 1+ year OR experience; orthopedic/sports medicine preferred
• CSR (Controlled Substance Registration) required

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic surgical assistance in the OR, including first assist for total joint replacements and other orthopedic procedures
• Manage clinic visits, seeing 20-25 patients per day for orthopedic consultations and follow-ups
• Perform casting, splinting, DME application, and joint injections as needed
• Conduct mornings rounding and occasional weekends
• Coordinate care with attending physicians and support staff

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Certifications: BLS Tier 1 – Basic Life Support required within 180 days; Certification as Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) required upon hire
• Experience: Minimum 1+ year experience; 1+ year OR experience required; prior orthopedic/sports medicine experience preferred
• Other Qualifications: CSR (Controlled Substance Registration) required
