Job summary

Capital Health Plan in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - PA to join our full-time care team. You will evaluate and treat patients, develop care plans, and manage chronic conditions with a patient-centered approach.

You will work three 11-hour shifts per week, with collaborative physicians and a strong commitment to quality care. The role offers base salary, incentive program, CME time, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as APRN or PA in Florida or eligibility.
  • Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program.
  • National certification appropriate to training.
  • Experience using an electronic health record for patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients, develop care plans, and manage chronic follow-ups.
  • Address test results, medication refill requests, and clinical questions via EHR.
  • Collaborate with supervising/c participating physicians to deliver timely, high-quality care.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of three 11-hour shifts per week, totaling six shifts every two-week pay period.

As our Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - PA, you'll evaluate and treat patients, develop care plans, manage chronic condition follow-ups, and address clinical questions, test results, and medication refill requests through the electronic health record. Working alongside supportive physician colleagues, you'll combine independent practice with teamwork to deliver timely, high-quality care that makes a meaningful difference.

To do this, we're looking for someone who meets the following qualifications
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida, or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • National certification appropriate to training and specialty
  • Comfortable using an electronic health record to manage patient and caregiver communications, results, medication refill workflows, documentation, and team-based care tasks
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, organizational ability, and commitment to patient-centered, age-friendly care
  • Ability to work independently within scope of practice while collaborating effectively with supervising or collaborating physicians and the broader care team

Geriatrics, internal medicine, or urgent care experience is preferred.
