Florida Health Care Plans is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to float between six EHCC locations. This full-time role covers 36 hours weekly, with three 12-hour shifts and a rotating Saturday 4-hour shift.

You will provide urgent care services within your scope, deliver patient-centered care, and collaborate with nurses and providers to ensure continuity of care. Requirements include Florida APRN/PA licensure, 3+ years independent practice in family medicine or urgent care, and

Qualifications

• Must hold Advanced Practitioner or Physician Assistant Florida licensure.
• Minimum 3 years post-licensing independent practice in family medicine or urgent care.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN/NP/PA program.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services within scope of training.
• Deliver patient-centered, compassionate care.
• Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants and other providers for continuity of care.
• Complete documentation, billing and coding per regulations.
• Attend required staff meetings and continuing education.
• Treat urgent care presentations (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.).
• Perform foreign body removal, laceration repair, suturing and abscess I&D.
• Diagnose, treat and splint fractures; DOT Certification within 30 days.

Summary

Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staff model HMO, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to float between six (6) EHCC locations. This is a Full-time position with 1st shift, performing three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly) and a rotating 4-hour shift on Saturday. The Advanced Practice Provider shall provide necessary and appropriate urgent care services, within the scope of the Advanced Practice Provider's training and experience. Responsibilities and expectations to include the following:

• Deliver patient-centered, compassionate care
• Continuously enhance clinical knowledge
• Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
• Complete documentation, billing, and coding as required by healthcare regulations and standards
• Attend staff meetings, training, and continuing education as required
• Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.)
• Foreign body removal
• Laceration repair, Suturing skills
• Abscess I & D
• Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures
• DOT Certification required within 30 days
• Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter's physical, etc.) preferred
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (good typing & computer skills)
• Worker's Comp Experience preferred

Qualifications

• Advanced Practitioner / Physician Assistant Florida licensure
• Minimum 3 years' post licensing experience, working independently, in family medicine, urgent care clinics or a combination
• Graduate of an accredited program, APRN, NP, or PA program
