Planned Parenthood of Florida is seeking an Advanced Practice Clinician (APRN or PA) for a part-time role at our Tampa Health Center. The APRN/PA will provide high-quality reproductive and sexual healthcare, perform exams, counsel patients, manage contraception, and support abortion-related services, while collaborating with center leadership to maintain efficient, patient-centered care.

Candidates must hold Florida APRN or PA licensure with dispensing authority.

Qualifications

  • Current State of Florida Licensure as APRN or PA required, with dispensing authority.
  • Prior experience in women’s health, reproductive health, or family planning strongly preferred.
  • Experience with EHR/EMR systems preferred.
  • Must possess excellent decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to reproductive health and rights.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Comfort in discussing sensitive topics related to sexuality, pregnancy, and contraception.

Responsibilities

  • Provide reproductive and sexual healthcare, including exams, counseling, contraception management, STI testing, and abortion services.
  • Conduct medical assessments such as breast and pelvic exams, Pap smears, and screenings per PPFL protocols.
  • Ensure thorough documentation, regulatory compliance, and support clinic productivity.
  • Collaborate with center leadership to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Educate patients on GAHT, pregnancy options, sterilization post-care, and related topics.
  • Refer patients for care beyond the clinician’s scope as needed and follow up.
  • Participate in staff training and quality assurance.
  • May perform ultrasound, colposcopy, centralized follow-up, or on-call tasks if credentialed.

Schedule & Coverage

This is a part-time position supporting our Tampa Health Center.

Saturday availability is required. The position will also work two additional days during the week, with the specific days to be discussed and determined during the interview process based on candidate availability and Health Center needs.

Snapshot of key accountabilities of the Advanced Practice Clinician:

  • Provide high-quality reproductive and sexual healthcare, including physical exams, patient counseling, contraception management, STI testing/treatment, and abortion-related services.
  • Conduct medical assessments including breast and pelvic exams, Pap smears, and other screenings aligned with PPFL protocols.
  • Ensure thorough documentation, compliance with medical standards, and support clinic productivity and flow.
  • Collaborate with health center leadership and staff to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.
  • Educate patients on reproductive and sexual health topics, including GAHT, pregnancy options, sterilization post-care, and behavioral/primary health services.
  • Refer patients for care beyond the clinician’s scope as needed and manage follow-up procedures.
  • Participate in staff training and contribute to quality assurance efforts.
  • May perform specialized services such as ultrasound, colposcopy, centralized follow-up, or on-call support, if appropriately credentialed and privileged.

Experience/Education of the Advanced Practice Clinician:

  • Current State of Florida Licensure as APRN or PA required, with dispensing authority.
  • Prior experience in women’s health, reproductive health, or family planning strongly preferred.
  • Experience with EHR/EMR systems preferred.
  • Must possess excellent decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Hourly compensation range for Advanced Practice Clinician: S tarting at $56.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and local market conditions.
  • This is a Part Time position and is not eligible for benefits.
