Planned Parenthood of Florida is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ft. Myers Health Center.

This part-time role covers two days per week (Tuesday and Thursdays), delivering coordinated, high-quality care across gynecology, STDs, family planning, and abortion-related services. You will administer medications, perform lab work, assist with sedation, and maintain patient records, all while upholding confidentiality and our mission-driven values.

Qualifications

  • Florida RN license (or compact licensure) is required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Strong commitment to reproductive rights and Planned Parenthood goals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, coordinate, and ensure quality care in gynecology, STDs, family planning and contraception counseling, and procedural/recovery services.
  • Support the health center team in providing abortion, colposcopy, LEEP, LARC, vasectomy, and family planning services.
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure education, including contraceptive counseling and follow-up care.
  • Administer medications, perform lab procedures, and maintain accurate patient records with confidentiality.
  • Assist with procedural sedation, including IV administration, sedation assessment, and monitoring.
  • Promote a welcoming environment reflecting core workplace values and collaborate across teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of internal policies and complete onboarding/training.

Experience/Education of the Registered Nurse:

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida, or Compact licensure if applicable.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Must have a strong understanding of and personal commitment to reproductive rights and the goals and responsibilities of Planned Parenthood.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Comfort discussing sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, and pregnancy options.
  • Previous experience working with Microsoft Office suite preferred.
  • Ability to function appropriately in sensitive situations and with diverse populations.

Compensation:
