A leading healthcare provider is seeking an Urgent Care APP (NP or PA) to deliver high-quality healthcare services in a fast-paced environment. The role involves conducting health assessments, prescribing treatments, and ensuring compliance with medical regulations. Candidates must possess a Master's degree and relevant state licenses, along with flexibility for shifts.
The Urgent Care APP (NP or PA) is responsible for providing health care services to individuals, families, and groups under the auspices of Sentara Medical Group (SMG). Responsibilities include conducting health assessments, prescribing and providing treatments/interventions, performing occupational medicine regulatory exams, and performing procedures in a walk-in Urgent Care center. Services are provided under the supervision of assigned physician(s) (collaborative agreement). The PA is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in team activities, and use resources appropriately.
Requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and 12-hour shifts. Must be flexible to move between regional Urgent Care locations as directed. Ability to work independently with situational awareness and quick movement without compromising quality or customer service is essential. The PA must maintain continuing education credits as required, retain prescriptive authority, acquire necessary clinical competencies, participate in quality assurance and utilization management, and assist with risk management. NRCME certification is expected to be completed within 30 days of employment. Prescription authority is applicable for VA staff only.
