Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY seeks an experienced APP to support the Thoracic Oncology Surgery Service, delivering comprehensive in-patient care and participating in evidence-based practice and research.

You will collaborate with physicians and the broader care team, perform bedside procedures, and contribute to patient education and care programs to ensure optimal outcomes and seamless care across the continuum.

Qualifications

Exciting Opportunity at MSK

We are seeking an APP to provide comprehensive care to the Thoracic Oncology Surgery Service to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our patients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care.

The APP will join a team of over 700 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.

Role Overview

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members on the inpatient floor
• Provide comprehensive care to Thoracic Oncology Surgery inpatients including independent bedside procedures
• Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum

Key Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PA program
• NCCPA certification
• Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
• A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred
• BLS certification/ALS certification

Or

• Current New York State (NYS) RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses/registrations.
• Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
• Related National NP certification
• A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred
• BLS certification/ALS certification

Additional Information

• Location: Main hospital campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY
• Schedule: 3 - 12 hour shifts, night shift, including weekends and rotating holidays.
• Reporting to: Manager, APP

Pay Range: $155,500 - $197,400/annually

Pay Range: $136,400.00 - $225,100.00FSLA Status: Exempt
