Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our team caring for inpatient orthopedic and neurosurgery patients.

You will lead patient care, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and participate in night shift coverage on long 13.5-hour shifts, contributing to high-quality, compassionate care for our patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited PA program and NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification and NYS license or eligibility.
• 2 years inpatient experience in orthopedics and/or neurosurgery preferred.
• Active NYS RN and NP licenses/registrations.
• Prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)

Responsibilities

• Lead the care for surgical and medical oncology patients in inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary health care team of APPs, physicians, and nurses.
• Support night-shift coverage with organized, high-quality patient care.
• Contribute to patient-centered care plans and care coordination.

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our elite team taking care of Inpatient Orthopedic/Neurosurgery patients.

Role Overview:

In this role, you'll lead the care for surgical and medical oncology patients, working hand-in-hand with a stellar healthcare team. As part of a team of over 900 APPs at MSK, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families, all while advancing your career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited PA program
• NCCPA certification and BLS Certification
• Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
• 2 years of inpatient experience in orthopedics and/or neurosurgery Medicine or Critical Care is strongly preferred
• OR Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
• Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
• Related National NP certification and BLS certification
• 2 years of inpatient experience in orthopedics and/or neurosurgery Medicine or Critical Care is strongly preferred

Additional Information:

Location: Main hospital campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY
Hours:13.5-hour shifts, This is a night position, 5:30p-7:00a, with weekend and holiday rotation required. (12 shifts every 4 weeks)
Reports to: Director, APP
Pay Range: $155,500 - $197,400/annually
