Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to join the Nash Radiation Oncology team. The role involves direct patient care under the supervision of a Radiation Oncology physician and/or back-up physicians within North Carolina law.

The APP will provide medical care in the UNC Health Nash setting or Nash Radiation Oncology clinic, performing duties aligned with the supervising physician's scope and privileges.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in nursing from an approved nursing program for an NP.
• Masters in nursing with completion of a post graduate certificate Nurse Practitioner program or related Masters program.
• Bachelor's degree from an approved physician assistant program and certificate; licensing exam may be required in NC.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self, and others.
• Performs a complete evaluation on new patients and consults.
• Performs focused history and chief complaint assessment for follow-up visits.
• Prescribes medications in accordance with supervising physician guidance.
• Educates and counsels patients.
• Maintains medical records and coordinates care across teams.
