Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Cleveland seeks acute care nurse practitioners and PAs for three areas: MICU, six-bed stepdown, and code white/sepsis response teams. One APP per area daily, with attending and resident supervision.

A Brief Overview

The division of pulmonary and critical care is looking for acute care nurse practitioners and PAs who have a desire to work in three exciting areas. There will be one APP deployed in each area daily. The first is the MICU where you will provide critical care to acutely ill medicine patients rounding with an attending and a resident team. The second location is a six bed medical stepdown run with an attending and an APP. The third area is the code white/sepsis team where you will respond to alerts throughout the hospital as a provider with a nursing team working with you. These alerts are as follows: code white, code sepsis, code blue, code stroke. New grads will be considered for the New Grad Training Program.

  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
