Job summary

OSF HealthCare, an established Primary Care system in Illinois, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide clinical oversight, supervise staff, and mentor junior clinicians. The role combines patient-care leadership with ongoing professional development and strict adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
• Certification by ANCC or NCCPA.
• Minimum of two years of APP experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficiency in EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client treatment plans, assess high-risk cases, and handle escalated patient issues.
• Conduct regular individual or group supervision sessions to review clinical decisions and case conceptualizations.
• Act as a teacher, coach, and mentor to help junior clinicians build diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
• Maintain accurate records, enforce agency policies, and ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards.

Expected pay for this position is $55.20 - $63.65/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.

• Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $55.20-63.65 hr. This is a salaried position.

Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
• Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
• Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in primary care or a related field is preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
