Job summary

OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center in Cherry Valley, Illinois, is looking for a skilled nurse practitioner or physician assistant. You will be joining an established Primary Care practice to perform patient assessments, establish care plans, and provide education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies required.
• Current Illinois license to practice as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
• Two years experience in primary care or related field preferred.

Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Job description

Expected pay for this position is $55.20 - $63.65 per hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a salaried position.

Responsibilities

• Join an established Primary Care practice
• Perform patient assessment and assign diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research.
• Establish plan of care and implement interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, standards of care and current research.
• Provide education and counseling to patients, families and groups.
• Clinic hours are Monday – Friday 8am-5pm.
• Excellent work/life balance with no call or weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program
• Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant
• Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in primary care or a related field is preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
