Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner (RNFA or willing to obtain) for the pediatric plastic surgery team at UH Cleveland Medical Center and Westlake locations.

The role involves inpatient/outpatient coverage, independent patient care on the floor and in the ED, and the ability to function as a surgical first assist in the OR. Previous surgical service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified PA or NP with surgical experience is preferred.
• RNFA or willingness to obtain RNFA is advantageous.
• Experience on a surgical service is preferred.

Job description

Seeking a Physician Assistant or FNP (RNFA or willing to obtain) for the pediatric plastic surgery team at UH Cleveland Medical Center and Westlake locations. The schedule is Monday through Friday (4 10-hour day shifts). The APP will provide inpatient/outpatient coverage and see plastic surgery patients independently on the floor & in the ED as consulted. In the outpatient setting, the APP will see new and follow-up patients, or patients in our multidisciplinary clinics. This position will require the APP to be comfortable with suturing & function as a surgical first assist in the OR. Previous experience on a surgical service is preferred.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a PA as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.
