Job summary

Rainbow Ashtabula Pediatrics is seeking an experienced FNP or PA to join our team. Pediatric care experience is required, and PICU or NICU experience is preferred. The schedule is Mon-Fri 8 am–5 pm with rotating weekends.

The Advanced Practice Provider will deliver high-quality care, support patient access and satisfaction, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Ongoing professional development and alignment with hospital mission are expected.

Qualifications

  • FNP or PA certification required.
  • Pediatric medicine experience required.
  • PICU/NICU experience preferred.

  • Initiates and maintains positive relationships w/pts/customers.

  • Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.
  • Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific and current research.
  • Establishes plan of care and implements interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care and current research.
  • Collaborates w/other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
  • Contributes to the educational development of staff, patients, family and self.
  • Demonstrates progressive leadership and effective management.
  • Provides education through role modeling and in-services to meet identified learning needs and to promote professionalism.
  • Advances own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education and participation in peer review.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Job description

Seeking an experienced FNP or PA to join the Rainbow Ashtabula Pediatrics team. APP experience required, Pediatric medicine, PICU or NICU experience preferred. The schedule is Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm rotating weekends.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
