The Cancer Center of South Florida seeks a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Tampa General Hospital Cancer Institute’s Outpatient Solid Tumor Oncology team. The APP provides comprehensive cancer care across acute and chronic settings, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure safe, quality care and support research missions.

Qualifications

• NP: Master’s or Doctorate from accredited Nursing Program.
• PA: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
• Active Florida RN and APRN licenses with board certifications.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments.
• Establish medical diagnoses with the physician.
• Oversee treatment infusions and supportive care needs.
• Write orders within scope, including chemotherapy.
• Manage medical and surgical conditions with pharmacologic knowledge.
• Provide direction to clinic staff for follow-up patient care.
• Communicate with referring and primary care providers.
• Manage independent outpatient practice and coverage for collaborating physicians.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Participate in oncology/hematology quality and research projects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and survivorship.
• Engage in learning opportunities and on-call coverage.
