Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Advance Practice Provider for inpatient roles across Swedish Hospital and Evanston Hospital in a full-time capacity. The position runs Monday through Friday, 9am–5pm with occasional evening coverage and six on-call weekends per year.

You will be the primary clinician for inpatient admissions, perform chart reviews, conduct initial evaluations, and manage ongoing medications, while coordinating with physicians and unit staff to ensure quality care and timely

Qualifications

• Inpatient experience with credible chart reviews and medication management.
• Ability to manage 8+ patients per day in an inpatient setting.
• Licensed APRN or PA in Illinois, with DEA Schedule III eligibility.
• Eligible to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder.
• Preferred experience in psychiatry, addiction medicine or MAT.

Responsibilities

• Primary inpatient clinician responsible for direct patient care.
• Conduct chart reviews, initial clinical evaluations and ongoing med management.
• Consult regularly with collaborating physicians.
• Provide routine patient updates to unit staff during rounds.
• Lead family meetings and oversee discharge planning.

Hourly Pay Range: $61.54 - $81.73 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Responsibilities

• Primary Inpatient Role: Serve as the primary clinician responsible for direct care of inpatient admissions.
• Clinical Evaluation & Management: Conduct chart reviews, initial clinical evaluations, and ongoing medication management.
• Physician Collaboration: Consult and discuss complex cases regularly with collaborating physicians.
• Team Communication: Provide routine patient updates to unit staff during clinical staffings and conduct collateral calls.
• Patient & Family Engagement: Lead family meetings and oversee the complete discharge planning process

Qualifications

• Inpatient Experience: 3+ years of inpatient clinical experience strongly preferred.
• Patient Volume: 8+ patients per day, including multiple daily admissions/new assessments.
• Current Illinois APRN or PA licensure or pending Active DEA registration with Schedule III prescribing authority.
• Eligible to prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder.
• Experience in psychiatry, addiction medicine, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), or behavioral health preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based care.
• Ability to work collaboratively under established protocols and Medical Director oversight.
