Description

Seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to work inpatient cardiology at UH Ahuja Medical Center. The schedule will be Part-Time M-F 10 hr. day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. 1 year APP experience required, and Cardiology experience preferred.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

Qualifications

Education

• Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required) OR
• (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)

Work Experience

• 1+ years as an Advanced Practice Provider (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)

• Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

Physician Assistant:

• Physician Assistant (PA) (Required) and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
• Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required) and
• Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and
• Maintain national PA Certification (Required)

Nurse Practitioner:

• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required)
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) (Required)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (Required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Required)
• Current APRN License (Required)
