Job summary

Duke Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Duke Breast Risk Assessment Clinic in Raleigh, NC and Cary, working with attending physicians to provide direct patient care, collect data, and coordinate imaging and consultations.

You will perform risk assessment, screening, education, and evidence-based management for high-risk breast patients, with primary hours Monday–Friday and a focus on outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold an accredited NP or PA program and master’s level nursing or physician assistant education.
• BLS certification; specialty training in genetics or ASBrS certification preferred.
• Current NC NP or PA license with clinical privileges to practice in NC.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for high‑risk breast patients in outpatient settings.
• Develop individualized screening and risk reduction plans and monitor changes.
• Counsel patients on breast cancer risk and management recommendations.
• Interpret genetic test results and communicate findings to patients and teams.
• Order imaging, labs, and professional consultations; coordinate care.
• Maintain documentation in electronic medical records and ensure timely updates.
• Participate in education of trainees and ongoing professional development.
