Job summary

Advanced Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver acute and episodic care in a community urgent care setting. You will evaluate, treat, and coordinate care for a diverse patient population under the supervision of the Provider Lead.

The role requires PA/NP master’s training, active state licensure, and relevant certifications (DEA, BLS/CPR, ACLS/PALS). Competitive bonuses and comprehensive benefits are offered in this mission-driven team.

Qualifications

  • PA/NP Master’s program completed and board-eligible/board-certified
  • Active state license for Colorado; if applying from another state, transfer process applies
  • DEA certificate and BLS/CPR; ACLS/PALS preferred for acute care settings

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical evaluation, treatment and consultation for patients
  • Respond to emergencies and answer medical questions
  • Document chief complaints, history, exam findings, assessment and plan
  • Issue prescriptions, orders for tests, referrals as needed
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, foreign object removal
  • Provide referrals and coordinate test result communication
  • Educate patients and ensure privacy and confidentiality
  • Complete paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement requirements
  • Maintain timely documentation and manage clinical inbox
  • Attend provider meetings as requested and participate in team activities

Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

Reports To: Provider Lead

FLSA Status: Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients.*
  • Responds to emergencies and answers medical questions.*
  • Obtains and documents appropriate chief complaints, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examination, medications and allergies, assessment, and plan for each patient.*
  • Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.*
  • Performs routine medical procedures that may include suturing/laceration repair, splinting, foreign object removal, etc.*
  • Provide referrals to medical specialists.*
  • Reviews ancillary test results and coordinates notification to patients.*
  • Provides patient education as needed.*
  • Maintains availability to patients personally or through clinical staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.*
  • Completes appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.*
  • Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.*
  • Manages personal clinical inbox.*
  • Attends provider meetings as requested.*
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.*

Education and Experience:

Successful completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.

Certificates and Licenses:

State of Colorado Medical License

DEA certificate

BLS/CPR certificate

ACLS/PALS certification

DOT Medical Examiners Certification

State of Colorado Level I Work Comp Accreditation

Monthly wRVU Production Bonus Opportunities: Earn additional compensation each month based on the wRVUs you generate, based on patient volume, complexity of care, etc.
Flexible Work Schedule: Enjoy the flexibility of working just 42 shifts per quarter with limited weekend requirements.
Minimal On-Call Requirements: You are only required to sign-up for three (3) on-call shifts per quarter. This provides clinic coverage if a scheduled provider calls out last minute. Optional on-call opportunities are available for those interested in earning additional pay.
  • Paid Holidays: Paid time-and-a-half for working New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. We believe in recognizing and rewarding your hard work during these special times.
